This architecturally designed new construction, 4,400 sq ft home is certainly a one of a kind design. Designed by Building Designs it is located directly on Candlewood Lake this cedar shake 4 bedroom, 4.5 bath home with a combination of hand formed standing seam copper roofing, standing seam metal and asphalt roofing, includes a finished lower level with direct access from the lake with a guest bedroom, stone fireplace, wet bar, steam room and a wine cellar. The main living level is an open floor plan with stunning views of Candlewood Lake from every space. The custom designed and hand carved front door is certainly a welcoming focal point. There are 3 ensuite bedrooms on the second floor each with their own distinct features such as barrel roofs and cathedral ceilings.
This 3,600 sq ft home was designed by Daniel Conlon. Adirondack cedar siding and partial metal roofing help this modest masterpiece blend in with nature. Custom trusses and hand carved backets are a theme carried to the décor on the interior for a rustic feel. The interior railing balusters are made from tree limbs found on the property. Interior doors are knotty alder as is the custom kitchen.
This 4,500 sq ft home was taken taken down to the first floor level, added on to and build back up 2 stories to the 4 bedroom, 4 full and 2 half baths that exists there now. You can really feel the country charm with the 2 story stone fireplace, reclaimed barn beams and barn siding. The beams and siding came from an old barn in upstate NY and brought to the site on trailers. The beams were retrofitted to the space and applied to give an authentic feel of an old style barn. The interior doors are hand carved with an etching of Candlewood Lake in the lower panel of each door. Lot’s to see in this country retreat.
This country cottage style home was hit hard by the micro burst storm. Most said it was beyond repair but with the homeowners unrelenting willingness to restore the home with LS Construction, together we carefully restored this gem and it’s guest cottage back to its original condition.
This new construction on Candlewood Lake was designed by Erich Diller of Evolve Design. Built from the ground up, this 6,200 sq ft home features 4 bedrooms and 4 ½ bathrooms with an inground pool. Lots of outdoor living space surround the pool including a wrap around pool patio, heated outdoor covered area and a 1,000 sq ft open deck with a pergola. There are many elegant touches to this home from wainscoting panels in the great room and primary bedroom, painted tongue and groove on the ceiling and a gorgeous primary bathroom and a soaking tub with a view.
This home was remodeled in 2019 by LS Construction. The old kitchen was isolated and the windows short and squatty which blocked the magnificent view of Squantz Pond. The primary bathroom was closed in with a small shower and a huge tub making the bathroom feel unbalanced and awkward. Kitchen and primary bathroom were gutted, walls removed, windows enlarged and stairs replaced with floating stairs and cable railing giving this home a more modern feel.
